Sony’s new X-Series Walkman is one of their more impressive releases. With a touch screen and WiFi-capability, it will offers a great alternative to the iPod touch. Add to that the OLED display, which is drastically sharper and uses less battery life than traditional LCD screens, and the X-Series seems like it could compete pretty well with the iPod touch.
Available in 16GB and 32GB models, the Walkman costs $300 and $400, respectively–the same prices as Apple’s corresponding iPod Touch models. The X-Series Walkman has integrated noise-cancellation technology that works in conjunction with the included headphones. Transferring content to the Walkman is simple with the included Content Transfer software.
